Helen Edna Stewart nee Beattie passed away peacefully Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Hôpital du Suroît in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC at age 90. Beloved wife of late Allan Stewart . Predeceased by her siblings, June Todd, Nelson, Frances Kerr, Royce, and Douglas; and long-time friend, Fred Miller. Survived by her children, Pearl (Norman), Bill (Debbie), Lyla (Dan), Bob (Lynn), and Ron (JoAnne); twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Ruth McDougall Beattie; and many nieces and nephews. Helen was involved in Arts and Crafts Recreation Center, Huntingdon United Church Women, Red Hat Society, Crown Jewels of Canada, and Rug Hooking. Due to the circumstances, services will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be sent to the Betty Riel Foundation, 46 Wellington Street, Huntingdon (QC) J0S 1H0.
