At the Mount Continuing Care Community in Charlottetown on Friday, April 16, 2021, Helen Flora MacIsaac passed away peacefully. She was aged 94 years of the Souris Line Road, PE. She was the last surviving member of her family and born to Peter A. and Mary J. (nee MacInnis) MacIsaac on September 5, 1926. She is predeceased by her siblings Hugh, Mary Agnita Steen (Ray), Waldron (Frances) and George MacIsaac. Helen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by numerous cousins.
Helen was a well know educator and teacher in the Kings County area. She was a historian and enjoyed being involved in many community matters and organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, The Red Cross and the Eastern Kings Health Foundation just to name a few. Helen was also devoted to the St. Mary’s parish and a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 70 years. She will truly be missed by all who had the honor of calling her a friend. The family would like to acknowledge the care and love that was given to Helen during her stay at the Mount. The compassion shown to her by the entire staff will never be forgotten.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place for family and invited guests. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris with interment to follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Helen can be made to The Eastern Kings Health Foundation.
