Hector Maxime Joseph Gallant, of Bellefond, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 75.
Born in St Charles, NB, he was the son of the late Ellie and Philamene (Latulippe) Gallant.
Besides being a miner for 32 years he loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, being at the cottage and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a member of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Edith (Doucette) Gallant of Bellefond; one daughter Tammy (Armand) of Barryville; three sons Luke (Caroline) of Bellefond, Kevin (Tracy) of Miramichi and Billy (Jodie) of Bellefond; three sisters Edith of Bellefond, Evelyn of Miramichi, and Yvonne of Miramichi; one brother Maurice (Evangeline) of Bellefond; four grandchildren Tamara (Billy), Dylan, Keaghan, and Jaxon; one great granddaughter Sophia as well as two step great grandchildren Mya and Cameron as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Anthony and Luke.
At Hector’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in La Paroisse de L’Ascension Roman Catholic Cemetery, Beaverbrook, at a later date.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
