Rostad, Harold
1935 to 2021
Harold passed away peacefully on Saturday July 10, 2021 at Royal University Hospital. Harold was predeceased by his wife Grace, parents Jens and Ingeborg, brothers Lloyd, Joe and Ed, sisters, Cam and Joyce. He is survived by his sons: Brent (Terry) their children Matthew and Jessie, Douglas, Jason (RayeLynne) their children Trinity, Hannah and Simon, daughter Karen and her children Ian and Grant, sisters Muriel and Vi, brothers Olaf and John and their families. Harold was born December 1, 1935 on the family farm at Southey. He attended school in Snarum and then LCBI. Harold farmed for a few years before earning his Masters Degree in Agriculture at the U of S. Grace and Harold were married in 1964, starting their family while Harold got his PhD in Ohio and North Dakota, then settling down in Saskatoon. He had a fulfilling 33 year career at Agriculture Canada as a Soil Scientist. Together Harold and Grace had a wonderful life filled with love and laughter. He was a man of faith. Compassionate and caring and above all else committed to his family. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to the amazing staff at RUH.
