KLOOSTRA: Grace –
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Kloostra (Postma). Taken into the arms of the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the age of 89. Reunited with her loving husband Dick (March 2021).
Loving mother to Walt (Donna), Shirley (Chris), Rob (Penny), the late Paul (Shelley) and Ken (Allison).
Cherished grandmother to Kathryn (Herman), Kyle, Stephanie (Dave), Hayden, Kory (Kelsy), Emilee (Awab), Valarie, Keaton and Archer.
Great-grandmother to AvaLee, Aidan, Avery and Harper.
Dear sister to the late Margaret (Andy), John, (Pauline), Irene (late Bernie), Fred (Alice), Hank (Susie), Andy (Jenny), Rick (Marlene), the late Mark (Sena), Mike, the late Dickie and the late Alie. Also missed by many in-laws.
Immigrated to Canada in 1952, with parents Richard and Hinke Postma and whole family. Married Dick on October 15, 1954. Grace loved to travel with her husband and they were snowbirds for many years in Florida. Grace loved to knit and crochet and made many afghans for all of her children and grandchildren. Grace always loved a good hand at cards and played well.
Family will receive friends at the First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir Ave East, Chatham on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10:00am until 10:45am. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Nate Van Denend officiating.The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask. Those hoping to attend are asked to register online at ( signup.com/go/RvRuRzU ) or by phoning the Funeral Home. A live-stream of the service will be available on the church website( www.firstcrcchatham.com/livestream.html ). Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
