It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Goldene in her 93rd year.
Born in Kipling Saskatchewan, Goldene moved to Windsor as a young girl, accompanied by her mother Klara (1994) and her sister Elsie. Upon her graduation from Kennedy High School, she married the love of her life, Louis Cinat.
During 50 years of marriage, they shared a love for travel, enjoying frequent adventures together around the world. Goldene and Louis made their home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan; he worked as an Aeronautical Engineer, and she as a Legal Secretary in down town Detroit. Goldene was an ardent volunteer at the Fox Theatre for decades. Both were members of the G. Caboto Club in Windsor for nearly 50 years. After retirement Goldene and Louis spent their winters in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Goldene’s buoyant spirit and generous heart will be greatly missed by many cousins and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Louis (2005), her sister Elsie Balint (2020), her brother-in-law Douglas Balint (2017), and her nephew Dave Balint (2009). Goldene is survived by her nieces and nephews: Cathi McWilliams, Dianne Balint, Greg Balint (Noreen), and Rob Balint (Marjie) and their families.
A private family service will be held.
