Glendon « Glen » Fillmore
1936-2021
It is with sadness that we announce
Glendon Dean Fillmore of Windham Hill, NS
passed away surrounded by family on March 5 2021 at 84 years of
age.
Born March 8 1936, Glen was the son of
the late Darlene and Dean Fillmore.
Glen was a farmer and woodsman who loved
horses and said he could ride before he could walk. At 18 he went West
and worked in the woods and on the railroad, but later came home to
Windham and raised his boys.
He enjoyed writing poems and had them
printed in papers coast to coast. Eventually he had the time to put
them into a book. When time allowed, Glen could be found fishing on
the pond or back in the woods on his four-wheeler.
Glen was proud of his family and beamed
when he talked about them. He will be greatly missed by his sons,
Randy (Lisa) & Dennis (Merrilee) and by his grandchildren
Ashley, Katrina, Tyler, Maria & Meghan and his great
granddaughter Quinn.
He is survived by his sister Helen
(John) Wood and brothers Allan (Joyce) and Brian (Debbie). Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by his wife Audrey and sisters Elaine and
Dorothy.
He will be remembered for his sense of
humour and kind nature.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of A H Brown Funeral Home,
Springhill (902-597-2361). Visitation held Monday March 8, 2021 from 2
pm until 4 pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday March 9, 2021 at
11am, Pastor Ruth Gamble officiating. Burial will take place at the
Windham Hill Cemetery at a later date. Preregistration for
the funeral is required, please call or email the funeral home to
reserve a seat. Please bring your masks and respect social
distancing protocols.
The family would like to extend their

and Dr Gale for their compassion and support.
