Gladys Madeline Shea (nee Graham): It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Gladys spent many years at the farm on the Long Beach Road, Cameron, Ont. with her husband Clayton Shea (predeceased) as well as the Diplomat Apartments, Adelaide Place, Lindsay, and for the last year and a half in the loving care of Fenelon Court. Gladys had her 102nd birthday May 29, 2021 while in RMH and was serenaded by the nurses on the palliative care floor, and received many cards from family and friends, as well as home-made cards from her great grandchildren. Gladys is remembered by her daughter Norma Truman and husband Peter Truman (predeceased) and her son John (Jack) and his wife Donna Shea. Cherished grandmother of Carrie Truman and husband Benjamin Keys, Nicole Truman and husband Peter (Gus) Gilbert, Trevor and Allison Shea, Jeremy Shea and Raija Watson (and her family), and Nicholas Shea and Elizabeth Alton. «Big» Grandma to Natalie and Rebecca Keys, Maija and Ethan Shea, Jacob and Tyler Shea and Anne and Eva Alton Shea. Survived by Mary Lean (nee Graham) her only surviving sibling. Predeceased by siblings Willamina, Melville, Orville, Allan Graham and Clara Elman (nee Graham), and sisters-in-law Hazel Graham and Jean Graham. Also remembered by Robin Payne-Shea and Crystal Shea. Gladys will be missed, as she touched the hearts of many in her journey of life. Sadly, due to Covid-19, there will only be a graveside service with limited numbers at Eden Church Cemetery (799 Cambray Road, Woodville, ON) Friday, June 18, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. The service will be conducted by Gladys’s nephew Kenneth Graham. Donations in Gladys’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice as per Gladys’s request and may be made through Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay.
