It is with profound sadness, we share the news that, on Jan 22, 2021 Gertrude (Nee Hiebert) Bueckert went to be with the « Lord » after a brief battle with cancer.
Gertie was born on July 30, 1935 in Great Deer, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years (2007) and by her parents, Peter and Truda Hiebert, brothers Abe and John, and sister Susan.
Left to honour and remember are Gertie’s 4 children: Son, Walter (Elsie) Bueckert, Daughter Peggy (Ian) Holton, daughter Dorothy (Danny) Boese, and son Harvey (Carol) Bueckert.
14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as sister’s Helen, Nettie, Teena and Annie. Brother’s Pete, David and Henry and many nieces and nephews.
Gertie lived her life, dedicated to caring for her family and others. Her faith in the Lord was strong and guided her through each day. Her smile was genuine and contagious. Her heart big and forgiving.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
