Obituary
At age 38, he passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB, on December 4, 2021 after a long battle with addiction.
Geoff was born on April 28, 1983 in Calgary to Dale and Darce Hunter. Geoff began his childhood on Queen Tamara Way before moving to Okotoks at age 7. Here, Geoff grew up and through school and sports, built friendships that will last an eternity.
Geoff is survived by his Fiancé Amie, daughter Julia, Father Dale, Mother Darce, Brothers Scott and James, Many cousins and numerous close friends.
Geoff had a love for sports. He grew up submerged in minor hockey in Okotoks, skateboarding through his teen years, and then transitioned to recreational slow-pitch in his later years. Although he never played football, he was a huge Patriots fan and rarely missed a game. Geoff was kindhearted and always had a knack for making everyone around him laugh. His passion for life was put in overdrive on October 24, 2018 when his daughter Julia was born. Geoff was a proud father and did everything he could to be the best he could be for his family.
Funeral Service will be held at Snodgrass Funeral home in Okotoks, Sunday December 12 at 11:00AM for family and close friends. There will be a reception following at Salute from 12-4pm where others are welcome to celebrate the life of Geoff.
