On Monday, November 15, 2021, Gary lost his short battle with cancer. He will be genuinely missed by his family, friends and all of the many people whose lives he has touched.
He was a hardworking man who loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was known for his comical sense of humor. He could pick up a friendship from days gone by as if time stood still. Everywhere he went, he would grab a hat for where he travelled and always wore his favorite. You could always find Gary, as long as ice-cream was on the menu. Gary was raised in Hines Creek, AB on the family farm west of town, the oldest of four children.
Gary was predeceased by her mother Peggy in 2007 and father Gus in 1992 and sister, Joan in 2017. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, Sister, Gail, and Brother Richard (Teunisija), children Lorna (Tom), Clark (Rosie), extended family Jeff (Ramona), Scott (Cinthia), and step father Tom, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd., Sherwood Park on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
