Fred Brockerville Wednesday August 4th 2021

Leaving this world fighting his last battle, like the warrior he was in life, Fred started his next journey August 4th, 2021.
He was a very courageous man throughout his life dealing with Polycystic kidney disease which is very unforgiving when it is diagnosed. Time after time, when decisions had to be made, he bravely faced them with positive thoughts and his faith coming out with a smile knowing he won again against all odds.
Fred lived his life to the fullest, accommodating his illness, as only he could. He baffled many doctors after they looked through his file and the man before them still full of charm and wit was ready for the next challenge. His attitude was, “let’s get her done”. Fred was certainly more than his illness, it didn’t define who he was, he determined that himself with the faith and hope he carried within his heart. With a big belly laugh that made you smile, he charged onward, fiercely independent to the end.
Fred was compassionate and understanding and often tried helping others who were new to this illness. He walked this path with his wonderful nurses he loved and gave them much of the credit for him staying alive as long as he did. His strength was unimaginable never allowing any negativity to enter his thoughts.
Fred loved animals and they loved him. Their souls were connected and they leaned on each other for friendship and companionship through life. He often spoke of the animals that were a part of his life. Savannah is his present cat who once was a stray. She wasn’t long in his life before she settled and accepted Fred. When he had to go to the hospital, he face-timed Savannah almost every night talked to her to make sure she was ok.
Fred was an intelligent man who advocated for himself for his medical needs. He loved and appreciated Sue Doyle, Dr. Rich, Dr. Adams, Dr. Harrington, Dr. Jennifer Leonard, Drs @ the kidney unit and all the wonderful nurses, at all the locations he attended to get dialysis, who helped him through this battle.
Fred worked at different jobs throughout his life when he could work and met many people who became his friends. Fred was pretty easy to get along with and loved making jokes and laughing that unforgettable chuckle.
Fred joins his parents, Emanuel and Beatrice; brothers, Little Alonzo, Alonzo and Kelly; nephews, Brandon, Josh and baby Wesley; sisters-in-law, Alfreda and Doris; his pets, Lady and Ringo; and many others (grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends).
Fred will never be forgotten, always loved and missed by his children, Chad (Patti), Brad (Manda), Beautiful Beatrice (Denis); grandchildren, Nicholas, Toni, Aiden and Harlow; sisters, Valerie (Louie), Molly (Leo-his buddy); brothers, Tom (Carm), Wayne, John (Jackie), Leon, Alan (Vera), Vince, Guy(Nicole), Nick (Heather); and sister-in-law, Theresa.
Godspeed Fred ( favorite brother )
