Floyd’s Obituary
Passed peacefully away with his wife and family by his side on Sunday, June 20, 2021, Floyd James Day of Dildo, aged 89 years.
Predeceased by his son, Glenn; parents, James and Ida; brothers, Baxter and Doug; sister, Dorothy; parents-in-law, Gordon and Florence Smith, brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew Canning, Mary Day, Lon Smith, and Mervin Smith.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Marjorie; sons, David (Sharon) and Lorne (Diane); daughter-in-law, Marlene; grandchildren, Michael (Heather), Matthew (Stephanie), Justin (Holly), and James; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jonathan and their mom, Krissy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sheila (Byron) Windsor, Beryl (Terry) Small, Verna (Bob) Elford, Linda (Gene) Delaney, Terry (Bonnie) Smith, Venie Smith, and Sheila Smith; special friend, Sam (Lucy) Pitcher and Floyd’s loving caregiver and angel, Janice Pollett; as well as a large circle of family and friends.
A special thank you to Home Care Nurse, Robyn Alcock, physician, Dr. Renelle Butt and amazing staff at 5 East, St. Clare’s who went above and beyond during Floyd’s stay.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the visitation and service to celebrate Floyd’s life will be private.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Floyd’s memory may be made to St. John United Cemetery Fund.
