Passed away at 99, in her 100th year. She lived a full and creative life as a wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Ronald Jr. (Rebecca), Shaun (Elizabeth), Stuart (Amy), Tracey, Trevor (Jody), Jeff, Benjamin (Ainsley), Jessica (Dan), Luke (Rachel), Brendan (Melanie) and Kaylee (Andy). Great Grandchildren Nicholas; Rys, MacKenzie & Sebastian; Gabrielle, Chloe, Hannah, Eliana & Samuel; Jackson & Hunter; Cruz & Willow; and Presley. Survived by her sister Pearl Zarnke.
Predeceased by her parents George & Marianne (Neeb) Eydt, brothers, Gordon (Alma) Eydt, Melvin Eydt, sisters Helen (Earl) Dammeier and Vera (Art) Hackbart, Brother-in-Law Fred Zarnke, Son-in-Law Joseph Strauss and great grandchild Sage Lopes.
She enjoyed living in the country, raising Boston Bull Terriers, watching flowers bloom, vegetables grow and the birds fly.
She was very happy going with her husband Gilbert to many horse shows around the area and meeting up with other horse enthusiasts. They received a lot of awards for their fine horses and their fancy carriage rides. Florence also sold Lifetime cookware for a number of years. Additionally, Florence, with Gilbert had the pleasure of many travels to Canary Islands, Virgin Islands, Europe, Costa Rica, the Rhine, California, Mackinac Island and Western Canada. A final trip to Alaska was Florence’s dream vacation. In their younger years they spent many Wednesday and Saturday nights dancing. They are surely dancing in heaven now.
Her life was fruitful from many days of living on the farm. A life of loving and being loved with her family.
Florence enjoyed her Tuesday luncheons with the ladies at the Mennonite Church; Friday coffee and muffins with her friends from Mount Zion Church at Luther Village; singing and playing her organ; and always enjoyed a good game of solo and euchre. Florence welcomed family and friends and served many homemade meals and always with dessert.
