THOMPSON, Florence
With heavy hearts, the family of Florence Thompson announces her passing on June 12, 2021. She passed away at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Florence is survived by her loving family; Elaine (Rick), Larry (Polly), and Cindy (Leon), and grandchildren, Camil (Donna), Amy (Ryan), Amanda (Chad), and Janelle (Kyle) and great grandchildren Madison, Blake, Danica, Morgan, Carter, Ethan, Harper, and Ruby. She also leaves behind her siblings, Ken (Helen), Sheila (Archie), Doreen (Howard), Gerald (Gene), Dennis (Edna), and Wayne (Cynthia), several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, numerous other family members and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her two grandsons Dale and Ricky Thompson; father of her children, Chris Thompson; parents, Ronald & Ruth Witter; brother, Donald Witter; sister, Shirley Fenwick.
Florence will be remembered for her kind and caring nature.
Florence was a very classy lady, beautiful inside and out, was loved by many and warmed the hearts of everyone she met.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private graveside ceremony will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Care Team and the Westlock HomeCare Team for their ongoing support as well as the staff of the Westlock Continuing Care Centre who loved and cared for her with dignity during her final days of life.
