Passed away April 12, 2021. Cancer tried to take her before she reached age 40 but caring doctors helped her fend it off for 35 years until finally, in the end, it won. She leaves behind her son Fred and daughter-in-law Nathalie. Nancy loved: all the friends who lent a hand in recent years, an iced tea with mint and lemon on a hot day, a good salty steak with fresh crisp salad, Brantford french fries, Lake Erie perch, owls, butterflies, the colour purple, several canine companions, and she always spoke very fondly of her grandmother. As a single mom many years ago, to make extra money, she made about a hundred raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if there are still a few out there giving and receiving love. Maybe you have one. If you do, cherish it, there won’t ever be another one made by her hand. Nancy’s wry humour and warm laugh will be missed. Nancy had chosen cremation, which has taken place.
