Evelyn Gertrude Hebert
1927-2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a very beautiful and special lady. A woman of great spiritual beliefs who did her best to live by true Christian values. Not only a Mother to seven children, but throughout life was a mother to many—a Grandmother, a Great-Grandmother, and a Friend to everyone she met. She touched so many. Evelyn Gertrude Hebert (Trevors), passed away with loved ones by her side on April 15th, 2021, after a brief illness.
Born in Gray Rapids, NB on September 5th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Iva (Curtis) Howe. She was a Homemaker, a former employee at W.S. Loggie and M & W Grocery, worked at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and operated a boarding house. She attended the Pentecostals of Miramichi Church, King Street.
She is survived by five daughters: Gloria Gourlay of Palm Springs, California, USA, Phyllis Stutheit (Dean) of Red Deer, AB, Iva Trevors of Miramichi, Edna Moorehouse (Doug) of Miramichi, Jennifer Dodge (Cory) of Blaine, Washington, USA, Step-daughter: Barbara Ann Thexton (James) of Calgary, AB; sons: Frank (Ellen) of Miramichi, and Colin (Karen) of Red Deer, AB; sisters: Elizabeth Storey of Fredericton, Gladys Storey (Norris) of Fredericton, and Edith Munn (Clifford) of Holtville, NB; 20 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Trevors; and her second husband, Wilbur Hebert; two grandchildren: Candice, and Charlotte; one sister, Phyllis Matchett; two brothers: Theodore, and Charles; brother-in-law, Tennison; sister-in-law, Louella.
A PUBLIC visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, from 5-8 PM. A PRIVATE funeral service will be held at the Pentecostals of Miramichi, 146 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 with Pastor Peter Long officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery.
The service will be broadcast on Facebook Live on the “Pentecostals of Miramichi” Facebook site.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 regulations, facemasks are required and social distancing is mandatory.
Evelyn’s family would like to thank her caregivers: Ainee, Monica, Stacy, Dianne, Terry, Angele, Felicita, and also the staff of Extra Mural and Hospice Miramichi. Special thanks to the Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy in Douglastown.
