Eva Annable passed peacefully at McNally House on July 1st in her 91st year. Loving wife and partner for 69 years of Stan Annable. Cherished Mother of
Bonnie Wallace (Bruce), Jim Annable (Hilda Farrel), Deborah Long, Ronald Annable, Tammy Griffin (Bill). Grandmother of 16 Grandchildren, and over 30 Grandchildren.
Dear sister of Barbara Williams (Bill), Phyllis Bentley, Linda Allan (John), Carolyn Southward (Larry, predeceased). Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents William and Ida Clements (Gillot), brothers Bill Clements and Donald Clements (Donna). Eva was a lifelong resident of Grimsby, a switch board operator for Bell Canada (one of the ‘Bell Girls’) and worked for many years at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
After retirement Eva was an avid Volunteer for many years at WLMH. Due to covid restrictions, a private funeral service was held at Stonehouse – Whitcomb Funeral Home, Grimsby. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Eva told us « Bring me flowers when I am alive so I can enjoy them.” In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in her memory are asked to consider McNally House Hospice, West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. A heart felt Thank you to the wonderful staff at McNally House for all the care and compassion they provided to Eva and her family.
