It is with great sadness that the family of the late EUGENE ERIC CHISLETT of Toronto, ON, formerly Creston South, NL, announces his passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL, on Sunday, October 31st, 2021 at the age of 57.
Eugene is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Winnifred Chislett, father in law Clement Ryan, step father in law Robert Kennedy, brothers Samuel and Gerard Chislett and baby boy David Chislett, and brothers in law Clem Ryan and Fintan Kelly.
Leaving to mourn is his loving wife of 31 years, Cynthia, sons Ryan (Michelle), Toronto, ON and Daniel (Chantel Cifuentes), Toronto, ON; special grandson Roman, mother in law Marguerite Kennedy, Mortier; brothers Winston Walker (Effie), Sudbury, ON, Tom (Eva), Creston South, Walter (Marie), Rock Harbour, Winston (Alice), Mooring Cove, David (Sandra), Jean de Baie, Edward (Heather), Ajax, ON, Stanley, Brampton, ON, Alvin (Nicole), Creston South, sisters Emma Drake St. John’s, Frances Chislett (Donnie), Toronto, Ruth Fitzpatrick, (Angus), Winterland, Florence Drake (Kevin), Burin, Mary Legge (Alvin), Creston South, Shirley Crocker (Freeman), Creston South, Daphne Drake (Eric), Burin, sister in law Susan Chislett, Creston South; plus a large number relatives and friends.
The Chislett Family will accept visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South on Thursday, November 4th, from 10 am – noon, 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm and on Friday, November 5th, from 10 am – noon, 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, alert level 3, this will be a walk through visitation with one household bubble visiting at a time. When entering the funeral home you will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.
A private funeral service will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South, at a time and date to be announced. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Anglican Church Cemetery in Creston South.
No flowers at the request of the family.
