Eugene Eldred Rafuse
1942-2021
It is with heavy hearts the family of Eugene
Eldred Rafuse, age 78, of North Alton announce his unexpected passing
on Monday, December 20, 2021 in the QEII, Halifax. Born in Gold River,
Lunenburg Co., he was the son of the late Donald and Evelyn (Swinamer)
Rafuse and was predeceased by his brother
Ronald. Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Downey;
daughter, Michele Rafuse; son, Bryan Rafuse; step daughters, Wendy
Herrett, Marla Ramsum, Lisa Caine; 11
grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren. Prior to retirement, Eugene
worked as a newspaper printer for Kentville Publishing. He was
passionate about music and was a gifted guitar player who enjoyed
contributing to many community events. He will be sadly missed by all
of his family and friends. Our hearts will forever be filled with
memories of him. Cremation has taken place. There
will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment
will take place in Western Shore Cemetery, Mahone Bay, at a later
date. Donations in memory may be made to the QEII-Health Sciences
Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
