Ethel Florence Sarson
July 08, 1926 – March 02, 2021
Age 94, born July 8, 1926. She left us on March 2, 2021 to be with her husband Bernie who passed in 2009. Her family was everything to her.
She is survived by son, Bub and wife Lynn; grandchildren, Mandy and husband Kenny Beamish; and Tim Sarson and wife Julie; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Tanner and Lily Beamish.
She loved being with her family and enjoyed get togethers for birthdays, holidays or when everyone was there. Ethel had 14 siblings and was born on a small farm in East Uniacke to Daniel and Edith Lynch. Ethel was raised there until at a young age she moved to Halifax where she worked in the shipyards painting new ships and then painting new homes for wartime housing. In later years she worked for Eatons. She married the love of her life Bernie. She moved back to Mount Uniacke where they built a home and raised their son Bub. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, the Mount Uniacke Royal Canadian Legion and the Uniacke Jolly Jumpers Seniors group. Ethel and Bernie enjoyed camping in their many trailers and motorhomes. Ethel always knew how her siblings were doing and tried to stay in contact when possible.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernie; brothers, Wallace and Cyril Lynch; sisters, Evelyn McLean, Minnie Hampton, Mae Lively, Jenny Johnston, and Millie Manning. Surviving Ethel are brothers, Ralph, Clyde, Reg, Owen and Ross Lynch; sisters, Marjorie Druhan and Nettie Kelly.
Special thanks to the staff in Haliburton Place in Hants Community Hospital in Windsor and everyone who visited her in hospital and helped when needed. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.K. Barnard Funeral Home in Sackville.
A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
