O’CONNELL, Ernest Whitworth– 74, of Stoney Island, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Born on July 11, 1947, he was a son of the late Whitworth and Lola (O’Connell) O’Connell. He was an avid hunter and loved to spend time in the woods deer or duck hunting but, especially deer hunting as that was his favorite. He was a very humorous man and loved to carry on and tease. He wasn’t scared to tell you what was on his mind. Ernest will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his common-law wife of 21 years, Madeline Smith; step-daughters, Patricia, Leeann; nieces, Mary, Farron; sisters, Carolyn Snow, Audrey Burt, ON; and brother, Alpheus O’Connell. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Aletta O’Connell. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. As per his wishes there will be no formal service. Memorial donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
