Elsie Ethelwynn Andronyk (nee Randall), Born: June 3, 1946 (74) passed away suddenly on February 2, 2021 at Tofield Long Term Care, Tofield, Alberta
Elsie grew up on the family farm at Wawota, Saskatchewan. She attended school in Kelso and Ardine and graduated from high school in Wawota. She moved to Yorkton, Saskatchewan where she met Peter Andronyk of Roblin, Manitoba. They were married in July 1966 at Kennedy, Saskatchewan (divorced 1980). For many years they traveled and lived in several places in Canada on the west coast briefly and on the prairies and the east coast – from Vancouver, BC to Truro, Nova Scotia.
They returned to Alberta around 1980 and Peter and Elsie parted ways. Elsie started her own adventure enjoying her friends, family and cats. She also devoted many hours to volunteer work as a Jehovah’s Witness. She was proud of a 30 year career at Woolco that became Walmart, while living in Camrose, Sylvan Lake, and then Eckville, Alberta.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents (Harold & Gladys Randall of Wawota, Saskatchewan).
She will be mourned and missed by her two sisters and five brothers Ray Randall (Alice), Phyllis Madsen (John), James Randall (Louise, divorced), Daniel Randall, Ronald Randall (Linda), Clift Randall, and Janice Galay (Wayne); as well many nieces & nephews: Esther Dyck(Gordon), Charlotte Hupalo(Travis), Jason Randall (Kim), Barbara Ng (Rudy), David Randall, Dale Randall (Sasha), Jaimes Randall (Tara), Rebecca Randall-Redel (Chris), Joel Randall (Megan), Cayley Delawski (Travis), Chance Galay and Savanna Galay, and 16 great-nieces & great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. via ZOOM. If you would like to attend, please contact Ron Randall by email at rondall2020@gmail.com or call (587) 436-4251 to obtain the login information.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elsie’s name to Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Lung Association or University of Alberta for immunology research.
