It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Elizabeth Jane Pearce (nee Wall) announce her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Born in Cape Ray, NL, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winifred Wall (nee Short). She was also predeceased by her husband; Maxwell (Max) Pearce, baby boy; David, sisters; Mabel, Ann, Rita, Winifred, brothers; John, Ivan, Wallace, sons-in-law; Lawrence, Danny, sisters-in-law; Viola, Vivian, Madonna, Marie, Marjorie, brothers-in-law; Jerome, Wilson, Lorne, Len, Ronald, Clayton, Alex, Isaac, and Gordon.
Elizabeth leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving children; Jerry (Joan) Pearce, Diane (Victor) Martell, Debbie (John) Butt, Marilyn (Ivan) Tapp, Ricky (Sylvia) Pearce, Renee (John) Ford, Sandra Taverner (Craig Coleman), Jacklyn Stansburry (Chris Chippett), Leonard (Michelle) Pearce, grandchildren; Tammy, Tiger, Stephen, Justin, Tyson, Samantha, Tiffany, Jae, Jody, Josh, Adam, Megan, Ky, Aaron, Andrew, Ryan, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Elizabeth also leaves behind her brother; Bob, sisters; Marie, Mylinda, Mildred, brothers-in-law; Cecil, Clayton (Chic), sisters-in-law; Geraldine (Gordon), Joan, Ivy (Paul), Angeline, Marilyn, Bessie, Jean, home care workers; Ivy Taverner, Sylvia Pearce, Pat Osmond and special friend; Doreen Pearce, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for the kind support and compassion given to Elizabeth at her time of stay.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to the St. John The Evangelist Church.
