It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ed on June 9, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Stella; children, Donna (Paul) Casemore, Bertha (Allen) Marcinkoski, Eric (Shelley); grandchildren, Shawn, Jeffrey, Miranda, Andrew, Matthew, Jacob, Jordan and Amy; great-grandchildren, Solomiya, Lukian, Esten and Bennett. He also leaves to mourn his sister, Bertha Blair (Ontario); and brother, Malcolm Pink (San Francisco).
He was predeceased by his brother, Cyril; and sister, Joan; both of Northern Ireland.
Ed was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and came to Canada in 1953. He worked with the Bank of Commerce, Town of Stony Plain, Government of Alberta, and the Village of Wabamun. Ed met Stella while working in Stony Plain and they were married in 1961. They lived and raised their family in Stony Plain. Ed valued spending time with his family the most. He enjoyed all sports, especially playing golf with extended family and friends.
Ed was a selfless, kind, and loving man. He left us peacefully as he lived his life.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed Pink’s name to the Pilgrim’s Hospice 9808-148 St. Edmonton, AB, T5N 3E8.
The family wishes to send heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Dinesh Witherana, who took such special care of Ed for the last two years. They are also grateful for the wonderful staff at the Pilgrim’s Hospice who lovingly cared for Ed in his final week.
