It is with deep sorrow but gratitude for a long life well-lived that we announce the passing of our father, Edgar “Ike” Inglehart, on August 11, 2021 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in his 100th year.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children John (Becky)(the late Ruth), David (Nancy), Diane (the late Dale), 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as 3 siblings, Wilf, Ray, and Violet.
Predeceased by Hilda, his wife of 66 years, his daughter Linda (the late Cameron), as well as 4 siblings.
Dad lived most of his life in the village of Palermo. He was an auto mechanic and worked in a number of garages as well as in his home garage. Many, many people will remember having their vehicles maintained by Ike Inglehart.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 from 3-5pm on Sunday August 15, 2021 by RSVP.
A private family service will be held Monday August 16, 2021 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church Palermo. Interment will follow at the St. Luke’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Edgar to St. Luke’s Anglican Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
