Obituary of Dorothy Hocaluk
With broken hearts we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Dorothy Hocaluk at the age of 92, of Grunthal, MB.
Mom passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Val (Dave), Bill, Bruce, Kathie (Mario) and her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Steve in 2007, her parents, brother and sister-in-law.
Mom was born in Winnipeg in 1929, shortly after her family moved to Saskatchewan where she spent her childhood. After the passing of her mother, mom returned to Winnipeg. She enrolled in College, graduated and entered the work force making many life long friends.
Mom soon met Dad and they were married in 1958, Mom and Dad moved to their family farm where they farmed and raised their family.
A heartfelt thank-you for all the special care mom received during her journey home.
“My mind still talks to you and my heart still looks for you, but my soul knows you are at peace mom.”
A family service is planned for a later date.
