Dorothy Schimpf passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 90 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children LaRae Hughson, Barry (Joyce) Gray, Karen (Gene) Chanski and Wendy Gray; ten grandchildren Stacey (Todd), Kenneth, Brad, Richard (Adele), Anne, Jessie, Mandy (Joel), Cassandra, Paige (Sean) and Madison; 15 great grandchildren; sister Marjorie Kramer; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Cinderella Marie Gray and granddaughter Erin Gray.
Dorothy was born in Claresholm, AB and raised around Diamond City, AB. She was blessed with 5 children with one daughter passing as an infant. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, drawing and dancing. She also loved to help anyone she could.
A Funeral Service will be held for Dorothy at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 44th Street Chapel (833 – 44 Street SE, Calgary) on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
