Predeceased by her husband George, parents Peter and Olive Maxwell, brother Eugene and sister Marilyn. Survived by her sisters Joyce( Francis), Roberta and Debra. Her loving children Charles, Cindy and Stephen (Kelly) Cyr. Step-son Colin Dickie. Grandchildren Stephen (Sarah), Brody(Jessica), Kyle, Joshua(Rae), Joelene(Anthony), Jaime (Kurtis), step grandchildren Kipling and Evan, great grandson Thatcher Cyr and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doreen was a kind, loving compassionate soul who had love for anyone she met, she especially loved children and was an amazing Mother and Grandmother. Doreen had a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and is now resting with her Lord.
The family wish to thank ALL the wonderful Staff on 8Y at Edmonton General Continuing Care who made her life more than tolerable, they gave her love, companionship and the very best care possible, we will be eternally grateful!
A service will be held at St. Paul’s Church 4416 50 St, Leduc AB on Saturday, July 31, 2021 @2:00 PM. Masks required. Gathering after service held at the acreage at 150 Richdale Estates.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Doreen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, alzheimer.ca/ab/en.
