Donald John MacGregor passed away peacefully at the Lancaster LTC on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 90 years old. Beloved husband of 44 years to Anne MacGregor (née Patey). Loving father of Roche MacGregor and Katherine Cannon (Robert). Proud grandfather of Kaitlin and Taylor. Dear brother of the late Ethel Robertson (late Claude), Marjorie Thompson (Harold), late Billy, Winifred Helmer (Shirley), and Carolyn Villeneuve (Garry). Predeceased by his parents John MacGregor and Winnifred Weeks. Anne would like to send abundant gratitude to the staff at the Lancaster LTC. Heroes work there! Funeral arrangements under the care and direction on Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11 am. For those who wish to attend the controlled Funeral Mass, must call the Funeral Home, Mon. to Fri. between 9 am & 5 pm, to register your attendance. Masks and physical distancing will be required. Spring interment in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the OSPCA would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Don a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
