Dolphe Gallant
1941-2021
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Dolphe Gallant, 79, of
Saint-Louis-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de
Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, on Sunday, May
23rd, 2021. Born in St. Ignace, he was the son
of the late Jean-Baptiste and Eveline (Robichaud) Gallant. Before
retiring, Dolphe worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member
of the St-Louis-des-Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis and was
a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a Grand Knight.
Dolphe was a kind hearted man who made a lot of friends everywhere he
went.
Dolphe leaves to mourn his loving wife of 54 years, Linda
(née Fontaine); his six daughters, Nancy Johnson (Ken) of
Moncton, Sonia Chevarie (Rheal) of St. Louis, Paula Milliea (Tony) of
Moncton, Patsy Gallant (Troy Arsenault) of Rogersville, Joline Vautour
(Marc) of Aldouane and Jocelyne Daigle (George) of Bouctouche; as well
his 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Dolphe will also be sadly missed by his five sisters, Alice
Richard (Vincent Maillet) of St. Louis, Rita Pellerin (Ben) of St.
Louis, Yvonne Daigle (late Paul) of Aldouane, Anna Daigle (Francois)
of St. Ignace and Marie-Louise Landry (Norman) of Shediac; his brother
Leo-Paul Gallant (Leonice) of St. Louis; as well as by his many nieces
and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dolphe was predeceased by three sisters,
Semeda Johnson, Bertha Doiron and Eva Gallant (infant) and three
brothers, Francois, Arthur and Josephat.
As per family wishes, there will be no visitation at the
funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 27,
2021 at 4:00pm, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St.
Louis (maximum 90 people allowed in the church due to COVID-19
regulations).
