Dianna Mae Johnson,66, of Moncton,
passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021, with her family by
her side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Stillman and Joan (Brown)
Ryder.
Dianna and Greg began their life
together as high school sweethearts, and grew as soul mates to build a
beautiful life and family over 48 years. She was a devote mother and
grand mother. She had a bond with her grand sons like no other and she
loved hearing her boys say, « Hi Grammy » every time they
walked through the back door.
She spent 63 years on the ice. What
started as young skater in the Moncton Stadium, to touring North
American with Holiday on Ice, to dedicating 45 years of her life to
coaching young kids and providing them with guidance and life lessons
far beyond the rink. Her skating family was one of the most
important parts of her life.
Everyone who was lucky enough to be
around Dianna, felt her love, kindness and positive energy each and
every time they were with her. Her big smile and great
laugh, could easily fill a room, and put anyone in a good
mood.
Dianna and Greg and their Harley
Davidson have been on a decade long adventure traveling throughout
Canada and the United States creating beautiful memories that were the
source of endless stories.
She shared her love with music, was an
avid reader and loved spending countless hours in her rose garden,
making sure every petal was perfect.
Dianna will be sadly missed by her
husband, Greg Johnson; her children, Lukas Johnson (Stacey) and Talia
Hughes (Craig); precious grandchildren, Austin and Tate Hughes;
brother, Bryan Ryder (Julie); as well as several extended family
members and friends.
We would like to thank, Neurologists,
Dr. Weston and Dr. Adams and the nurses in the Palliative Care unit,
at the Moncton Hospital for their kindness and
compassion.
A Celebration of Dianna’s
life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 am.
