DIANE KUSMACK
It is with deep sadness that the family of Diane Gail Kusmack, aged 58 of Thunder Bay, announce her unexpected, sudden passing on April 11, 2021., due to severe injuries sustained from a fall at home.
Diane was the 2nd youngest of a family of 4, born on January 30, 1963 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her parents and siblings moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1968, then the family moved to Thunder Bay in 1970, which became home.
Diane was a very spirited/adventurous child/adult who at 19, became a Mother to her first-born Christine in 1982, and 9 years later became a Mom again to Miranda. Her girls were her life.
During her adult years, she was known to all as a woman with many talents and dreams. Throughout her life, she was a woman of all trades, worked retail, drove transport/snow plow, worked at fishing resorts, house cleaning or anything else you would throw her way. Diane loved cooking and entertaining with friends and family. She loved the outdoors and fishing was her favorite pastime, taking her kids, and later her grandkids to catch the first rainbow of the season.
She was truly blessed with the birth of her first 2 grandkids, Ronnie and Avery, and then Daniel. If anyone knew Diane, her grandkids were her life and she was theirs. The passion and connection to them can’t even be explained in words. She was a very caring, loving, generous person, who would help anyone, and would always put others first before herself.
Diane will be so terribly missed and remembered always by her daughters, Christine Drumbolis, Miranda Kusmack (John Krpan), Grandkids Ronnie, Avery and Daniel. Also left to mourn are her siblings, Jim Kusmack, Brian Kusmack (Shawna) and Kim Ouellet (nephew Eric Ouellet), and of course her cats, as she was an avid animal lover. She will also be missed greatly by many very close friends and relatives.
She was predeceased by her Dad, James Kusmack in 1988, and her Mom, Gail Kusmack in 2015.
As per Diane’s wishes, she will be cremated, with her ashes to be spread at a later date.
A service to celebrate Diane’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Suzanne Quirion presiding.
