Obituary of DAVID STEWART MURRAY
MURRAY, David S. – Peacefully at Chartwell Long Term Care Centre, London on Monday, October 18, 2021, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Hughena (Collver) Murray. Dear father of Ken Murray (Laura) and Brian Murray (Sally). Cherished grandfather of Cassandra. Predeceased by his parents David and Mable (Stewart) Murray and by his brother Donald. During his working career Dave was a High School Teacher, teaching shop classes at Simcoe Composite School and Listowel District Secondary School. He served as Technical Director at both North Grenville High School, Kempville and Medway High School, Arva. He was a Real Estate Broker both in the Waterford and London area. He enjoyed farming, operating a small general farm. Dave was a sports enthusiast enjoying playing and watching both fast ball and hockey. Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Waterford Minor Hockey. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the P.S.W’s and Nursing Staff at Chartwell for the excellent care given to David.
