Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of David Soloman Paul, 77 years old from Birch River, Manitoba announce his passing on August 4, 2021 in Birch River, Manitoba.
David was born on June 16, 1944 at Boggy Creek, Manitoba to parents, George Alexander Paul and Mary Bernadette Langan and his 12 siblings, Steve (Dora) Helen (Paul), George (Yvonne), Bertha (Alex) Clifford (Alice), Velma, Theresa (Andrew), Florence, Evelyn (Phillip), Elsie, Rose and Linda.
David and Joyce met in San Clara, Manitoba. They were together until her passing in September 2010. Dave continued to love and miss her, now they are together in eternal rest. They shared a blended family, Joyce having six children. The joy of his life came later in life to him and Joyce “baby Darrell” who filled his heart with happiness and fulfilled his dream of having a son. Dave and Darrell were close enjoying hunting and fishing together.
David worked hard through his career, he spent many years in the logging industry, eventually owning his own logging business, He was a farmer, drove trucks, a maintenance man, David loved to tinker around, he worked on small motors, vehicles, tractors he was a smart man. There was nothing he couldn’t do plumbing, electrical, lawn maintenance, he was a jack of all trades. He never stopped working; he was the fix it man for all the neighbours and friends, if you needed something fixed call David, one could consider him a work acholic, he enjoyed socializing and playing tricks with the people he spent time with while working.
One of David’s favorite pastimes was spending time with his family. He was a jokester. Every opportunity David had he would tease you and laugh like hell. On another note, he loved his sweets and all of his coffee breaks with family and friends. Oh no we can’t forget his KFC and his Chinese food. Menu was an important part of his life.
David’s pride and joy was his grand children he loved them all.
David is survived by his son, Darrell (Alexis), 4 grand children Blake (Willow), Blaine, Jadyn, Justice and 1 great grandchild Blakleigh as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his partner, Joyce in 2010; his father, George Paul in 1983, his mother, Mary Paul in 1992, brothers Steve, George and Clifford, sisters Helen, Velma and Evelyn.
