Crystal Einfeld Wednesday May 12th 2021 avis de deces

Crystal Dayle Einfeld, born January 25, 1968 passed away on May 12, 2021 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She is survived by her eternal sweetheart Ken, her two beloved children Bailey and Riley Slobodesky, her loving mom Carole Tiefenbach (Wilf), her father Chuck Einfeld (Pauline), brothers Brad Einfeld (Janice), Sheldon Einfeld, and nephews Jared (Roxanna) and Blake (Anna) Einfeld and families as well as all of her special Aunts, Uncles and cousins. And so close to her heart, little Ernest Heinz Einfeld, her sweet great-nephew.
Crystal was predeceased by her grandparents, Simon and Jean Einfeld, Big Grandpa George Geswin and her Gramma Mary Evelyn Johanson (Gramma at the farm), where Crystal spent many joyful summers growing up.
She was a dedicated member of the Winnipeg Police Service for 20 years. Before that, she worked diligently with Dr. Diamond as a dental assistant/hygienist. She started working at the Canada Safeway Bakeshop at the young age of 15 years old and continued there until she was accepted into the Police Service.
Crystal was a very hard worker often working 2 jobs and never one to shy away from overtime. She put her heart and soul into everything she did and everyone she cared about. She loved her children Bailey and Riley. She was proud of them and wanted them to reach for everything life has to offer. Crystal came from a long line of family bakers (Einfeld’s Bakery in Victoria Beach). She was a great hostess, always offering home baked goodies and a beverage to wash them down. Her smile and laugh could light up any room; she was always up for a good time. She loved music and dancing and often had a song in her step. She loved horses and her animals and tending to her beautiful gardens. Crystal was a competitive athlete and excelled at many sports. Later in life she even took the opportunity to combine two of her passions and played Polo for a brief time. She loved her warm winter getaways with Ken and they always made lots of new friends on their trips.
Crystal was an amazing person and had many friends who loved her. She was very loyal and reliable and had a great sense of humor. She used it regularly to protect us all as she continued to fight her cancer. Many an update included an “LOL”.
We can not thank Ken enough for his loving, faithful care of Crystal before and after her diagnosis on March 2, 2020. They were such great friends and always looked out for each other. They worked together for three years throughout their careers. They built their home and life together on their property in the country.
We would like thank Crystal’s family at the Winnipeg Police Service for their love and support throughout her illness. We would like to also thank the medical staff of Selkirk Hospital, Homecare, and the Palliative doctor and nurses.
In lieu of flowers or donations, it was Crystal’s wish that you plant a favorite perennial in her memory to celebrate her life. She will be greatly missed until we meet again.
