Obituary of Charles Benjamin Thomas
THOMAS, Charles Benjamin – age 98, of Upper Rawdon, passed away July 26, 2021, in the Magnolia Continuing Care, Enfield. He was a son of the late John and May Thomas.
Most of his working career was dedicated to the Elevator trade. Charles was a veteran of the second World War. He was a founding member of the Upper Rawdon Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the West Gore Worthy Wisemen group. He enjoyed his camp on the lake, travelling and wintering in Florida.
He will be sadly missed by children, Judy (Gary), Ronnie (Kathleen), Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Enith; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Nettie Barron; brother-in-law, George Kent; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian and second wife, Pearl; son, Leonard; daughter, Lois; infant grandchild, Craig; siblings, Ivor, Frances Kyte, Ray, Cyril and Eva Kent.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. Graveside service 11 am, Saturday, August 21, 2021, in Upper Rawdon Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Charles may be made to Upper Rawdon Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice.
