Celina Caissie (1928 – 2021) avis de deces

(1928 – 2021)
On January 15th, 2021 and at the age of 92, passed away peacefully Celina ‘Sylvina’ Caissie (Gallant). She passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, leaving behind Albert, her husband of 70 years.
She leaves behind three children: Alberte (Leo-Paul Richard), Daniel (Ginette) and Clairette (Ovila Vautour); the most precious part of her life, her six grandchildren: Erin, Vicki, Forest, Joshua, Joelle and Robin, as well as her special blessings, her eight little great-grandchildren.
Celina was born December 12th, 1928 in Acadieville.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Celina Gallant, as well as her four brothers: Allyre Gallant, Lorenzo Gallant, Leo Gallant and Rev. Arthur Gallant. Tragically, she never met her mother, who lost her life while giving her birth, however; they are now reunited. She was raised by her adopted parents, Joseph and Florence Pineau in Rogersville. While living with her adoptive parents, she had an education and worked as a teacher in New Brunswick, before moving to Massachusetts with her husband to raise their children.
Celina had a passion for family and community. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, entertaining and vacationing in Maine with her family. She was an avid walker, and put her walking to use during her travels in Europe and North America with her husband. Over her lifetime, she experienced many social changes, including recently learning how to ‘face time’ on social media with her family, where she could still see everyone during these difficult times. Celina and Albert returned and retired in Rogersville, where she resided until her passing. She was a selfless and loving matriarch to her family, and we will all miss her quick wit, and her pâté.
We would like to thank the Miramichi hospital for their wonderful care, as well as Cecile, whom provided care and assistance for Celina and Albert, during these very difficult times. You will be in our hearts forever, thank you.
In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate any donations made, to be for the up-keeping of the Rogersville cemetery.
Due to the present Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and viewing will be held at a later date and time.
