Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear Hospital on May 14, 2021, Cecilia Youden of Georgetown, Nl. age 79 years.
Predeceased by her husband, Lloyd George Youden, parents, Harry and Mary Linthorne, brother, Eric and sister, Gertrude Loveless, sisters -in–law Emmie Evely, Stella Youden and brother-in- law Jim Mugford.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her loving children; Linda Gilkinson (Kent), Lloyd (Nancy), four grandchildren, Courtney Gilkinson Hall (Shannon), Kayla Gilkinson (Matthew Spurell), and Matthew Youden (Tessa Whelan) and Megan Youden, siblings: sister, Doreen Mugford: Sisters-in-law, Frances (Victor) Antle, Blanche (Michael) Baldwin, Charlotte (William) Saunders, Jean (Paul) Kieley, Manita (Peter) Ryan, and brothers-in-law William Youden. David Youden (Julie), and Ralph Loveless. Also a large number of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Cecilia was a people person in the truest sense, who thrived on her involvement in the church, participation in the community, and any social activity. She was a crafter and a maker, producing beautiful quilts, knit slippers and baked goods. With a strong work ethic, Cecilia could be seen equally happy with a pan of scalded milk, a bucket of freshly washed potatoes or a paint brush in hand. Always proud of her produce, no visitor ever left without a cup of tea and biscuit and lots of conversation and will be missed by all her family and friends.

Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 2:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M.
Funeral to take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2: P.M. from Broughton’s Chapel.
Due to Public Health Restrictions , attendance at the funeral will be by invitation only.
Virtual attendance of the funeral ill be held on Zoom.
