Obituary of Catherine Howlett

It is with sadness that the family of Catherine announce she passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Wednesday morning, October 6, 2021. Catherine Howlett (nee Lorbetskie) of White Lake, Ontario, formerly of Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 73. Catherine was born in Killaloe, Ontario to her late parents Joseph and Catherine (Plebon) Lorbetskie from Wilno and Hopefield Ontario. Predeceased by beloved husband Donald Howlett (2016). Much loved mother of Michael (Marie) of White Lake, Jason (Holly) and Shawn, all of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Castin, Benjamin, Ashdon and Ethan. Dear sister of Dorothy Daub (Bill), William (Donna), and Ann Eno (late Vern). Also predeceased by brothers Teddy, Thomas, Michael and Jerome Lorbetskie and dear sister Margaret Spain (late Dan). Catherine will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many nieces and nephews.
She was a special lady that always had a warm smile, a nice hug and good laugh to share. We will also miss her many crafty and tasty creations. The family would like to thank all the caring Doctors and nurses of the Arnprior Hospital (Dr. Kurian and Janice Hadder), the Greenberg cancer centre, West Carleton Family Health (Dr. Ferguson) and the Ottawa Hospital General campus & Cancer Centre.
Catherine’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 from 10:00-11:15 a.m. A Liturgy of the Word service will be held in the Boyce Chapel at 11:30 am. Private family interment at Capital Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date. In memory of Catherine, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Facemasks/Coverings/Social Distancing Measures are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
