With family by her side, Catherine Anne Chadwick (Williams) passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29. Cathy handled her struggle with illness with dignity and courage. At the age of 69 she has been taken much too early.
Cathy and her husband Ray Winterton were soul mates and best friends. They were a team and without Ray, Cathy would not have lived such a full and happy life these past few years. They made each other laugh. Cathy was a true ‘Mama Bear’ when it came to her two sons, Chris and Peter. Besides Ray, they were the most important people in her life. Cathy will also be missed by her brothers, Peter Williams (Bev), Bruce Williams (Reynette) and sister Janet Williams. There are also numerous nieces and nephews who enriched her life. She will be forever in the hearts of many people who counted Cathy as their friend. She was loved by many and was always fun to be around whether playing cards or enjoying Tequila Saturday’s.
Cathy was a very outgoing, fun loving lady who lived a colourful life. She lived very successfully for 18 years in the US where she was Western District Sales Manager for Hollister Medical Company and travelled throughout all of the states. She returned home to Canada in 1995 to be closer to family. She has lived in Mississauga, Barrie and most recently Wasaga Beach. She was very proud of being president of Bayshore Seniors and being involved in activities there. That is where she met the love of her life- Ray.
There will be a small private family gathering. Donations can be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation in Collingwood.
