Carl I. Mann, 87, of K.E.
Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at his residence on
Sunday, November 28, 2021. Born in Mann Settlement, QC, he was the son
of the late William and Roberta (Lodge)
Mann.
Carl was retired from CN, he was
a lifelong «railroader» who upon retiring also had the
opportunity to work for railroads internationally. He was a dedicated
Mason; a member of the Coverdale Lodge # 52 F. & A.M. He also
volunteered with CMHA in their bi annual campaigns. He enjoyed most
sports and in his earlier years played, hockey, softball and golf.
Carl loved hockey and was a dedicated fan of the Montreal
Canadians.
Carl will be remembered by his
wife, Emma Mann (nee Mitton); daughters, Cindy MacTavish (Sandy),
Barbara Barrett (Rev. Mark) and Trudy Mann; grandchildren, Desiree
Carrier, Justine MacTavish, Ryan Barrett and Evan Barrett; great
grandchildren, Lydia, Atlyn, Isabelle, Silas, Colby, Travis and
Lincoln; sisters, Roberta «Bobbie» Marino and Arlene
Tompkins; brothers, Dale Mann (Irene), Barry Mann (Linda) and Bill
Mann (Suzanne LeBlanc); as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Carl
was predeceased by his grandson, Nathan
Barrett.
Visitation will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed immediately
by a Service to Celebrate and Honor Carl’s life at 11:00 am
in the Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Fair
Haven Memorial Gardens.
COVERDALE LODGE #52, F.
& A.M. memorial service will be held for lodge members and
family on Friday at 9:30 am.
Those attending the visitation
or service must show proof of double vaccination as well as a
government issued I.D.
The family would like to
thank all the
many Spencer Memorial staff for the attention and care dad
received over the past almost three years and especially during these
rough Covid times. He enjoyed his walks in the hall more than almost
anything.
In memory of Carl, memorial
contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association or The Friends
of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences for
