Veno, Cameron Joseph – Age 80 of Tatamagouche, passed away September 11, 2021 at home. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Joseph and Thelma (Cameron) Veno. Cameron was very involved with his community as a volunteer, whether as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion helping with the Sunday breakfasts or the poppy campaign or as a member of the Tatamagouche Fire Department for over 60 years. Cameron and Edna loved to go camping with their travel trailer on the weekends, especially with family and friends and was active in bowling and curling. He worked at several locations in the Tatamagouche area including Cole’s Transfer, Tatamagouche Creamery picking up cream cans at the farms and lastly with Scotsburn Dairy delivering products to stores. Cameron is survived by his sister, Marie Miller; brothers, Vernon (Carol), Ken (Verna), Ronnie (Louie) and Phillip; nephews and nieces; special boys, Justin and Josh; sister-in-law, Helen (Chester) Estabrooks; brother-in-law, Boyd (Debbie) Crawford. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Edna Crawford; infant sister, Irene. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Cremation has taken place and a private funeral will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Tatamagouche Fire Department or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
