Bliss David Hachey of Chaplin Island Road, NB, husband of the late Helen (Murray) Hachey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 90. Bliss was born in Newcastle, NB on March 10, 1931 son of the late Ben and Dorothy (King) Hachey.
Bliss is survived by his daughters: Linda Whitney of British Columbia, Nancy Stewart (Lloyd) of Quarryville, NB, Brenda Henderson (Robert) of CI Road, NB, Eleanor Hachey (Rod) of CI Road, NB, Judy Hachey (Buck) of CI Road, NB, Dorothy Savoie (Jerry), Bellefond, NB, Margaret Nowlan (Chris) of CI Road; sons: David Hachey of British Columbia, Benny Hachey (Karen) of Maple Glen, NB, Mike Hachey (Brenda) of CI Road, NB, Kenny Hachey (Leah) of Baker Lake NU, Kevin Hachey (Wanda) of Beaverbrook, NB, John Hachey (Joleen) of Miramichi, NB, forty four grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren; brother in law: Billy Murray (Dede) of Patterson Siding, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bliss was predeceased by his wife: Helen; granddaughter: Ashley Austin; sisters: Marg, Louise, Yvonne; brothers: Ben, Roy, Reggie and Torrey.
By request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held from St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Father John Keoughan officiating. Bring your own lawn chair if you wish.
Please note: Due to COVID-19 the use of facial mask and physical distancing protocols will be followed.
