Bertha Vautour
1932-2021
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Bertha Vautour 89, of Richibucto
passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 23,
2021. Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late
Leondre Arsenault and late Alice (Robichaud) Arsenault.
Bertha loved crafts, Christmas and she especially enjoyed volunteering
at her church for many years. Her family was the most
important to her.
Bertha will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Walter
Vautour of Richibucto; four daughters, Gloria Vautour, Wilma Poirier
(Raymond), Bernadine Doucette all of Richibucto, Kathy Daigle of
Rexton; two sons, Louis Vautour, Eddy Vautour (Cecile) both of St.
Charles; eleven grandchildren, Jason, Valerie, Priscilla, Angela,
Michael-Evan, Aaron, Brandon, Bethany, Jonathan, Quentin, Zachary;
twenty-one great grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Amanda Mazerolle (late
Leo) of Richibucto, Yvonne Robichaud (late Delphis) of Dieppe; one
brother, Aquila Arsenault of Richibucto; brother-in-law, Albert
Robichaud of Moncton and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters,
Ida, Aurore, Edna and three brothers, Lionel, Louis and
Tilmon.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 pm (only) and Monday at 10:00 until
departure for the service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto. In lieu of flowers,
donations in Bertha’s memory may be made to the NB
Alzheimer’s Society and would be appreciated by the
family. The family wish to express a sincere thank you to
Dr. Eric Martin, the Extra Mural staff and Bertha’s homecare
provider for all their kind and compassionate
care.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home, masks are mandatory and we
ask that social distancing is respected.
