Bernice Marlene Dionne of Barriere, British Columbia passed away peacefully on June 11, 2021. She will be sadly missed by her four children Gene, Christy (Chris), Jason (Lorna), Michelle, seven grandchildren, Kaitlinne, Chaysce, Taiya, Jaedyn, Kelley, Lee and Jacob. She was predeceased by her husband John Dionne in 2012.
Bernice is survived by her brothers Gary (Karyn), Terry (Lynn), Dawne (Merv’s wife) and was predeceased by her eldest brother Merv.
Bernice was born in Kelowna, BC. Her first job was in a grocery store called Super Value. She then went to a flower shop, which after she opened her own business. Flowers by Bernice.
Bernice and her brothers used to go ice skating together. That is where she met her husband, John Dionne. Soon after they started their own family. They then moved to Prince George, BC and John started working for McGavins. John was transferred to Langley, BC. Together this is where they stayed and raised their children.
Bernice was a very generous, caring, loving woman. She would always find a way to help those who needed it most. She was part of the Catholic Women’s League and the Catholic church was a big part of her life.
