It is with great love and sadness that the family of Roy Earl Beniston announce his passing on October 21, 2021.
This kind, gentle and compassionate son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was at peace with being welcomed into Heaven by the parents that he adored, Earl and Isobel Beniston and brother Ronald Beniston. He found comfort in knowing he will be surrounded by the Lord and all the loved ones that have gone before him. Just like he dealt with all his experiences in life, Roy managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. Roy cherished his family and he always expressed how treasured and precious we were. His family were “everything” to him. His love, patience, understanding, and generous spirit will live on in each of us.
Roy will be forever remembered by his wife of 50 years, Marlene; children: Trevor (Kim), Debbie (Glenn), Shari (Craig), and Ellen (Tim); grandchildren: Graeme, Liam, Brielle, Hayden, Evan, Evelyn, Gemma, and Benjamin; sisters: Jeannie (Dan) and Lynn (Glen); uncle: Erik; mother in law, Viola; brother in law, Cyril (Ellen); as well as numerous loved nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care and compassion during his short stay.
A private family gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021.
Unfortunately, due to current restrictions the gathering will only be open to invited family members.
