Passed peacefully away surrounded by family on June 6, 2021, Bernard Whiffen, age 61 years.
Predeceased by parents Maurice and Ellen; siblings Martha, Annie, Joe and John.
Leaving to mourn his wife Theresa; his four girls Frances (Jen), Rebecca, Cookie and Sara; siblings Betty (Ed Griffin), Deanie (Mike Pittman), Andy (Joan) and Wish Pittman (Kathleen); sisters-in-law Kathleen & Maureen Whiffen and Becky Pendergast; brothers-in-law Jack Griffiths, John, Paddy, Phonse, Peter, Matt, Jim, Rhodey, Toby, Dave and Raymond Murray; his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to his brother Wish and nephew Nathan for their care and support during his last days that enabled him to have his wish to pass at home. Also a special thank you to his friends and co-workers at the Coast Guard, he appreciated and valued the time you spent with him since his retirement as well as his coffee buddies at Tim Horton’s in Placentia.The family would like to say thank you to the Community Health Palliative Care Team as well as the Paramedics of the Palliative Care Team.
Visitation to take place on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral service from Caul’s Chapel on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 2pm. Inurnment to take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Harbour, Placentia Bay at a later date.
