Beatrice Vivian (Westhaver) Langille
age 60, of Simms Settlement passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Fishermans Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg on April 21, 2021 after a year long battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Born in Halifax on March 7th, 1961. Beatrice is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Langille, father Alfred, mother Flora (Burgoyne) Westhaver, twin brother & sister, Clara & John.
Beatrice is survived by her son, Shawn (Seana); daughter, Jacqueline (Brandon); sister, Donna (Arthur); brother, Cyril (Joan); grandchildren, Jacob & Breana and her soon to be new grandson, Baby Boy Fleet. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Over the years Mom enjoyed travelling with her good friends to many different destinations. She enjoyed her many nightly drives around the Aspotogan loop or going out for ice cream. Her greatest gift in life was watching her grandchildren grow over the years. She enjoyed spending her time making crafts, going to the beach and simply just spending one on one time with them.
Beatrice worked at Scotiabank for over 30 years serving the community before retiring. Along with volunteering her time at various local organizations. As a young girl Mom played many different sports, Baseball & Basketball being her 2 favorites, she shared many laughs and good times over the years with her friends. Mom was always up for an adventure and always had the biggest smile on her face that lit the room when she walked in.
Mom was known as one of those mothers whom “mothered” everyone. No matter who you were, what you did or needed, she always had your back and her door was always open (even all hours of the night). She simply was the most amazing, kind, loving & beautiful person you have ever met. Her heart was made of pure gold. She will always be remembered for her big, beautiful smile & contagious laugh. She will be missed dearly & forever loved.
Special thanks to the VON nurses who cared for mom before she went into the hospital. And a huge thank you to Dr Gowan, Melanie & all the many palliative nurses who cared for mom in her final days.
