Obituary of Archie Jordan
With profound sadness, the family announces that Archie passed away suddenly, but peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2021 following a brief illness. Archibald Milton “Archie” Jordan, 76, of Arnprior, beloved husband for 55 years of Lynda (nee Cornfoot). Loved father of Scott (Chauntell), Steven (Carrie) and Shannyn Garey (Chris). Cherished Papa of Curtis, Cole, Madison, Emily, Anthony, Richard, Steven, Tyler, Kayla, and Kyle, great-grandfather of Amelia and Juniper, and special uncle to Russ, Jeff, and Heather. Dear brother of Alex and Millie (David). Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Annie, and sister Kay. In his prime, Archie could be seen tearing up the lanes at the local bowling alleys, and passed along his love of the game to youngsters on Saturday mornings for years. His love of fishing was never dampened by the fact that he was often unsuccessful. Always wanting to keep busy, in retirement Archie continued raising his beloved Shelties and became a volunteer driver for Seniors At Home. Archie’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Celebration of Life for Archie will be held at a future date to be announced. In memory, please consider a donation to the Arnprior-McNab Seniors at Home Program.
